Driving Directions:
The camp is located at 560 Silver Strand Blvd. (or 106 Carnation Ave.), Imperial Beach, CA 91932. Location entrance will be one of the two. Their phone number is 619.423.5850.

Traveling South on I-5 or I-805, exit Palm Ave. CAUTION! I-805 has two totally different Palm Ave. exits! DO NOT take Palm Ave exit #11A in San Diego. Instead travel 8.6 miles farther south to Palm Ave exit #2.  Turn right (West) at top of ramp, Palm Ave.
Stay on Palm Ave towards Imperial Beach. CAUTION! Be aware that Palm Ave & Highway 75 split. Palm Ave bears LEFT on to Imperial Beach. Highway 75 goes RIGHT (almost straight) to Silver Strand State Beach and Coronado.
Follow signs and keep LEFT on Palm Ave.
One block after the 4-way stop, turn right (North) onto Silver Strand Blvd.
Go 3 blocks and on your left you will see the entrance to YMCA Camp Surf!
Follow the entrance road to the left.
Park in parking lot then walk to check-in at the office.

Arrival Information:
Everyone can start setting up their camp Friday at 4:00 PM with just enough time to cruise around the town a little to find a nice place for dinner. Saturday breakfast through Sunday’s lunch are included so that you can have all day to play! Last year when we got here at 3:30pm there was already a line of cars waiting and we were about the 6th or 7th car in line. They were very strict about not letting any cars in until 4:00pm. This is because they are still trying to clear out the prior campers. Park in the lot and unload at your parking place. A truck with a trailer will be making rounds to pick up your gear and deliver it to the campsite location. You are responsible to stay in the parking lot to help load your gear onto the truck.

Campsites:
Campsite locations are not assigned until Friday afternoon. Each tribe will have a staked-out area along the beach. The order of the tribe sites was previously determined at the Nation Longhouse. We will bring one fire ring and they have a couple of old beat-up washbin fireplaces that we can probably snag so we should be good. If you absolutely want to be sure to have a camp fire and have a portable fire ring and have the room, bring it! There may not be much room for shade but if you’ve got it, it would be wise to at least pack it!

Quick Checklist:
Tent
Sleeping bag
Bathing Suits
Sun Screen
Towels
Wet Suit
Ice Chest with Snacks and Drinks
