2010 Fall Camp Agenda

Friday, September 24th
Arrive anytime after 11:00 AM

  • 11 - 9 pm : Arrive and unload at the Marina Office (see site map).  Tribal beach camp sites will be designated.  All meals must be supplied by the individual tribes and should be planned for.  Bring all possible beach toys, paddle boards, kayaks, etc.
  • 7:30 - 9:47 : Nation appetizer party at the Gazebo.

Saturday, September 25th

  • 8 - 8:45 am : Breakfast
  • 9 am : Bike Newport Back Bay.  All nations to ride through the Upper Back Bay loop as a group enjoying the cool September morning.
  • 11 - 12:00 : War Chief Water Ballon Bombardment.  War chiefs to sit in lawn chairs 50 yards away while scouts use water ballon launchers to score with successful bombardment.  Each tribe get 10 shots / user 10 shooters.
  • 12:00 - 1:00 : Lunch Break
  • 1:00 - 3:00 : Water Park (small additional group fee required)
  • 3:00 pm : Kayak around the Horn Race.  Show up on the beach and look for the judges.  They will sign you in and tell you when your heat will begin. Divisions:
    • Kindergartners
    • 1st Grade
    • 2nd Grade
    • 3rd Grade
    • Alumni
  • 5:00 pm : Dinner Bell
  • 7:00 pm : Nation Campfire and Awards Ceremony
  • 8:00 pm : Movie Night on the Beach, Campfire & Smores

Sunday, September 26th

  • 8 - 8:45 am : Breakfast
  • Dads versus Sons Kickball Game
  • Enjoy the Beach and Water Park (No required Check out Time)

Packing Ideas

You will be camping on the sand in your own tent. Because all meals must be supplied by the Tribes a group effort for food items need to be packed. You will be carrying your camping gear from the parking lot to your tribe’s sandy spot in the sun about 100 yards to the spot marked “camping” on the site map.

DO NOT BRING ANYTHING WITH AN ENGINE.

  • Tent
  • Water Toys, Kayaks, Paddleboards, Inflatable Rafts
  • Balloon Launcher
  • Pop‐Ups / Umbrellas
  • Food preparation gear / Hand Soap / Dish Soap
  • Tribal BBQ Grill (each tribe needs one)
  • Tarp for under tent
  • Fake grass, tarp or towel for porch in front of tent (limits sand and dirt coming into tent)
  • Sleeping bag
  • Air mattress or foam roll
  • Flashlights / Battery powered glow sticks
  • Beach towels/bath towels if you plan on showering (they have shower facilities)
  • Sun screen / hats
  • RC Cars that work in sand
  • Rash Guards / Wet Suits
  • Chairs for beach and tribe camp fires
  • Wood for tribe camp fire
  • Beach toys (label with name and tribe)
  • Snacks/drinks/cooler to share with tribe between meals
  • Camera
