Huntington Beach July 4th Parade

hosted by the Kiowa

image

Be there starting at 9:45AM and no later then 10:30 AM.

Indian Guides starting point has changed and will now be on PCH at 13th street. See attached map. All the thick black lines are police barricades. We are in the third division of three divisions. Our parade entry # is 311 (311 will be painted on PCH on July 3rd).

Wagons, coolers with water, etc., are OK. No bicycles, no razors, no skateboards. We walk or ride in a Dad pulled wagon.

Bring drums, banners, vest, headdresses and coup sticks.

A link to a downloadable Participant Pass can be found on this page.

Tri-Color war paint sticks will be furnished by the Kiowa.

To get to the entry site #311, take Goldenwest towards PCH, turn left on either Palm or Orange {The left turn at Orange may be backed up, so it might be quicker to turn at Palm}. Then turn right on 13th or 12th. For those in Huntington Harbor/Sunset, you can drive down PCH and turn left onto Goldenwest. For those on the east side of town or Costa Mesa, take Beach Ave north at least to Garfield, then turn left to Goldenwest. To miss 99% of the parade traffic, go all the way up to Slater, then take Slater over to Goldenwest.

We can drive all the way down to PCH for drop offs, so the attached Participant Pass likely won’t be needed. The Participant Pass is used only for crossing the police barricades on PCH to drop off and pick up - not for parking. These can be printed out as black & white on white paper - they do not have to be colored or two sided.

Parking will probably not be available anywhere south of Palm.

There is a pancake breakfast in Lake Park that morning.
