Are you ready for some snowballs!
Winter Camp 2010 is upon us as we get ready to spend a fun filled weekend at Cedar Lake Camp in Big Bear Lake. There will be lots of games, food, outdoor activities and yes a Dog Sled Race contest for dads and sons in addition to our traditional Tug of War and Steal The Crow events with awards and trophies to be handed out!
We will also have a Lance judging contest so get busy with building your lances for Winter Camp 2010! We’re looking forward to a great turnout and lots of great memories built with our sons!
Don’t miss out on the special Friday night movie and craft related to the movie that will bring years of great memories to your sons.
Cost for Dad & Son is $135 per person and includes lodging for the weekend, all meals on Saturday and Sunday breakfast, T-Shirts for dad’s and son’s and all games & events!
The schedule for the weekend is below. Please be sure to bring appropriate cold weather (snow) attire and sleeping bags and pillows for you and your son(s).

Directions: The trip will take 2-4 hours depending on traffic. Take I-10 East to the Running Springs exit in Redlands. Follow Hwy 210 to Hwy 330 to Hwy 18. At the Big Bear Lake dam, make a right turn and pass over the dam itself. After passing Boulder Bay and Metcalf Bay on your left, you’ll pass the Town Hall / Performing Arts Center on the right. About ⅕ miles further, make a right turn onto Tulip Lane. About ¼ mile further, turn right onto Mill Creek Road (Oak Knoll Lodge is on your left). Come 1 mile into camp. When pavement ends, stay to your right and welcome to Cedar Lake Camp.
Friday, February 12
4:00 – 5:30 PM: Arrive at Camp Cedar Lake, get settled into cabins – see your Chief or designee for assignments.
5:30 – 7:30 PM: Dinner – not provided by camp, go into town
7:30 – 8:30 PM: Nation reports to mess hall for orientation and instructions on Steal the Crow - bomb building and distribution. Bring your lances for judging.
8:30 – 10:00 PM: Special movie that includes the introduction of a new craft for each brave
Saturday, February 13
8:00 – 8:45 AM: Breakfast
8:00 – 9:00 AM: Piku (lance) judging
9:00 AM: Depart for Tube Park (Optional and cost of $17.00 to $20.00 per person not included)
10:00 -12 noon: Tube Park or Play around at the Camp – Plenty to do!
1:00– 1:45 PM: Lunch
2:00 – 3:00 PM: Dad/son dog sled race & Snow cone toss
3:15 – 4:15 PM: Steal the Crow
4:15 – 5:15 PM: Tug –O-War
6:00 – 6:45 PM: Dinner
7:00 - 8:00 PM: Nation campfire, skits & awards
8:15 -10:00 PM: Hot chocolate and movie
Sunday, February 14
8:00 - 8:45 AM: Breakfast
9:00 AM: Pack up, cleanup cabins and head for home
